After their first outing in Ghajini turned out to be a big hit, expectations are sky high on the next venture of director A.R.Murugadoss and actor Suriya - 7aum arivu. The mega budget flick is produced by Udayanidhi Stalin's Red giant movies. Let’s see if the team can pull it off this time around.

Oh Ringa Ringa...
Singers: Roshan, Jerry John, Benny Dayal, Suchitra
Lyrics:
Pa. Vijay

The album ticks off with a full-energy 'Oh Ringa Ringa' which has shades of hip-hop wrapped in a catchy Spanish percussion arrangement. The song has unusual words in the usual style of Harris to provide a solid hero introductory song! The stylized composition scores maximum using the support of peppy singing in engaging tones by Roshan, Jerry John, Benny Dayal and Suchitra. Though the song isn't novel, it’s highly entertaining and has the potential to be one of the biggest hits of this year.

Mun Andhi...
Singers: Karthik, Megha
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

The next number 'Mun Andhi' is a sweet, soft, light breezy romantic track. Though the whistle tune at the start reminds of his previous composition 'poove vaai' from 12B, the difference ends right there. It has lovely electronically tuned beats that works well with the angelic chorus (Megha) and sugary lyrics (Na.Muthukumar). With the song having all elements needed to top the charts, Karthik bewitches his listeners with his delightful rendition. Shot in the scenic Krabi islands in Thailand, it should provide a visual treat to Suriya's fans as well.

Yellae Lama...
Singers: Vijay Prakash, Karthik, Shruti Haasan, Pop Shalini
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar

Harris Jeyaraj's next popcorn entertainer in the album is 'Yellae Lama'. Very infectious desi hard-rock type song with high guitar riffs and jams, to set the required upbeat mood. The talented Shruti Haasan in her rock 'avatar' matches the youthful flamboyant singing of Vijay Prakash, Karthik and Pop Shalini. Trendy choreography should add more spice to this dance-number and would fast catch up among urbane listeners.

Yamma Yamma...
Singers: SP. Balasubramaniam, Swetha Mohan
Lyrics: Kabilan

Simplicity at its brilliance is the trademark of the song, 'Yamma Yamma'. It’s been some time since we heard the legendary SPB in Harris's composition. SPB makes a refreshing comeback to soften the mood of the love-lost character. Kudos to the composer for making a song that is not contemporary, yet strikingly outstanding. Mild gatam beats fuse well with the soothing musical arrangements. Projected to be a huge hit in the same genre of 'Anjala Anjala' song.

Innum Enna Thozha...

Singers:Balram, Naresh Iyer, Suchith Suresan
Lyrics: Pa. Vijay

This is a tribute to the people of Tamil Eezham by Harris and is one of the inspirational tracks, with motivational lyrics from Pa.Vijay. The tenderly and pacifying voices of Balram, Naresh Iyer and Suchith Suresan do the much needed justice to the track.

The Rise Of Damo (Mandarin)...

Singers: Hao Wang Lyrics: Karky `
Supposed to be one of the musical highlights of the film, Harris brings in a fresh fusion of traditional Chinese and South Indian music. It would be interesting to see how both music neophytes and connoisseurs would take to this song. Madhan Karky continues to be out-of-the-box in lyrics, and this time it is in Mandarin.

The album promises a couple of big chart-busting hits like the peppy 'Ringa Ringa', the melodious 'Mun Andhi' and the pathos-ridden 'Yamma Yamma'. Though there is a déjà vu feel all around the album, its a sure shot commercial success, riding high on the mega-valued production, promotion and heavy duty cast & crew.

Verdict: 7aum Arivu - Programmed to please all your 7 senses.
