The King Khan not only posed for the photographs
but also made a few dance movements much to the
delight of the audiences.
The trailer was launched by Mani Rathnam while the
audio was launched by Shah Rukh Khan and collectively
received by Mani Rathnam, Suhasini Mani Rathnam,
Abhirami Ramanathan, Santosh Sivan, Soundarya Rajinikanth
and others on stage.
The Tamil version trailer was showcased twice for
the audiences and the Hindi version once.
Shah Rukh said that it was the earliest press meet
in his career and recalled the days when he had
to wake up early when acting in films directed by
Mani Rathnam. The star added that Mani is the greatest
director in the world and he considers the veteran
director to be his mentor and guru.
Thankful to technical director Soundarya Rajinikanth
for helping out with the Rajini’s cameo appearance
in the film, SRK said that he is humbled by her
graciousness. On Rajinikanth, the star said that
he is one person who has proved that to be a Superstar
one has to be a humble human being at first. He
added that he is yet to meet the star and will do
so later in the day.
He said that the purpose of making Ra One in Tamil
is to ensure that the film reaches the Tamil audiences.
When asked about his transition from Raj in Dilwale
Dulhanya Le Jayenge to Ra One, Shah Rukh said that
the older he is getting he is doing roles that children
like. He added that his children want to see him
in such roles and he is satisfying their wishes.
Revealing a little about his character in Ra One,
SRK said that he plays the role of a Tamil software
engineer Shekar Subramaniam who creates a villainous
Robot just because his son wants a powerful villain
in the games he plays.
The star was graciousness personified himself and
obliged the photographers with some poses before
making an exit.
