Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’ completes 700 days
Kalabhairava, it seems, is riding his steed into the record books. Tollywood’s biggest ever blockbuster Magadheera, which was released on July 31, 2009, has so far collected Rs. 70 crore. The latest is that the film has completed 700 days’ run at some theatres in Andhra Pradesh, breaking the record of Mahesh Babu’s Pokkiri, which ran for 500 days.
The movie, starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles, was directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind under the banner of Geetha Arts. It was also dubbed in Tamil as Maaveeran and in Malayalam as Dheera. Magadheera also won two National awards, nine Nandi Awards (2009) and five Filmfare (South) Awards (2009).
