2000 prints for ‘Endhiran’

The budget size of ‘Endhiran’ is getting bigger and bigger as it is nearing the D-day. The magnum opus of Shankar was touted to be a 100 crore project when it was launched in 2008.

Then it was said to be 120 cores and when Sun Pictures took over the film ‘Endhiran’ was billed as a 150 crore production. Now the new buzz is the cost of ‘Endhiran’ has touched around 200 crores.
The other news is that ‘Endhiran’ will be a mammoth worldwide release and the Rajinikanth starrer will also be released in China where the super star has a fan following just as in Japan. So to cater to all the markets ‘Endhiran’ will be out in more than 2000 pints so that there is no place in the world which is not touched by the magnetism of the super star.

We had already reported that the music launch of ‘Endhiran’ will happen in Malaysia. There will also be a music release function for the Tamil Nadu fans during the first week of August our sources say.

Following Mani's bilingual epic Raavanan, this year's other much awaited extravaganza the Shankar directed Endhiran will hit the screens. If industry inside sources are to be believed, Shankar is on the verge of announcing the release date, which is likely to be September 3, 2010. Endhiran, the sci-fi fantasy has been in the making for a couple of years with superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

Owing to its mammoth budget, Eros International decided to drop the project earlier during the recession period after which SUN pictures took it over. Endhiran is reportedly made at a whopping budget of Rs. 190 crores, the highest ever budget for a motion picture in Indian cinema. Oscar winner A R Rahman scores for the movie, which is co-written by the late writer Sujatha.

Endhiran Last Schedule Shooting Starts!

Director Shankar’s mega budget science-fiction movie Endhiran featuring Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai is nearing completion and it will be release within this year. Director Shankar yesterday on his blog has written the following

Hi Everyone,

I am going for the Last Schedule shoot today, with which all the talkie portions will be completed. So totally tied up with organizing and preparing for it.

Everyone’s question is when is the audio launch and film release. Regarding the audio launch the last song is in composing and has to be recorded. After that the mastering has to be done then we will fix the audio launch.

Though all the work is nearing completion, there are few factors which will decide the release date.

- The final song is yet to be recorded and shot.

- The partly 3d portion, post production time duration has to be finalized.

- Most of the CG works are completed, another 200 complicated CG shots are yet to be completed.

- Final editing and back ground score is there to be done.
- Sound mixing is to be done… Yes. by the way there is a good news, another Oscar Winner Mr.Resul Pookutty is doing the audiography, who is very charged and have started the work in full swing.

- D.I. and other languages (Hindi and Telugu) dubbing is there to finish.

Some have asked whether the movie is coming this year. Yes, definitely the film is releasing this year only. Within few months.

Rajini says ‘Endhiran’ in July

While coming out of CM’s residence Rajinikanth told, actors attend filmy functions only on their own will and not out of compulsions from anybody. On ‘Endhiran’ the superstar said the film would be ready for release in July in all probability.

'Endhiran' is full of surprises: Shankar open talk

Director Shankar, who has been tight-lipped so far about his action-packed sci-fi Tamil film "Endhiran" starring superstar Rajnikant and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, reveals that the movie is almost finished and has lots of surprises in store for the audience.

"'Endhiran' is almost complete. 90 percent of the shooting is over," Shankar wrote on his blog www.directorshankaronline.com.

"I have just finished the action sequences of the film 'Endhiran' in Pune and Lonawala. both the leading artists of the film were present during the shooting," he wrote.

Shankar has also uploaded some of the stills of the film on his blog. This is said to be the first official release of the stills of the movie.

A year ago some pictures taken surreptitiously during the shooting of a song in Peru in South America were released and Shankar had protested, saying it was a pirated work.

Shankar launched the blog Jan 1 in a bid to interact with his fans.

The other sections of the blog that will update fans about the progress on the film have not been activated yet.

"While (his last blockbuster) 'Sivaji' was about black money and corruption, 'Endhiran' is about an andro humanoid robot Prem. The first half of 'Endhiran' is full of surprises. The second half is a roller coaster ride," he wrote.

The director also promises to share information about the making of his magnum opus "Endhiran".

Being made on a budget of Rs.125 crore, the film has hogged the limelight since it was launched. Sun Pictures is producing it.

Shankar, whose "Sivaji" was released on June 15 in 2007, may screen "Endhiran" in April or June this year.

This is the new leaked photo of Aishwarya rai and Rajinikanth from the Endhiran Sets. Endhiran is a forthcoming science-fiction film being directed by S.
