Nanban Shooting Stills

"Nanban 60% Completed"- Director Shankar

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a long time… Lot of happenings… We were continuously shooting in Europe, Andamans, Coimbatore and Chennai. We’ve finished 60% of the film, we have shot almost all the complicated and difficult outdoor sequences of the film including climax. So far we have edited all the scenes and started dubbing… Again we are going for a long schedule next week at one stretch, and we are going to complete the film. One more good news- Mr. Resul Pookutty is joining again with us for Nanban sound designing.

…When we were shooting at Bharath Engineering College last week, I got a call from Singapore… I thought it must be some relatives or fans… Then I thought may be Rajini sir… Yes… It was him only… I was surprised and happy to hear from him… Ubhayakusalobhari!!! (UBKS)… etc … He was sounding like before… Brisk and energetic… He told he will be back after 45 days taking a complete rest…

He is well!

Vijay and Murugadoss to take a ‘Fox’ Ride

Double Cheers for Vijay fans. With the actor celebrating his birthday along with his fans in Chennai, here’s an interesting news about him. If what we heard from the closer sources is believed to be true, it’s time for Vijay to rock as he’ll join hands with filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss. The film is likely to be produced by Vijay’s father’s S.A. Chandrasekhar on first copy basis, while Hollywood’s famous production house Fox Star Studios will market and release the film worldwide.

Soon after Fox Star Studios signed up A.R. Murugadoss as the creative producer, Murugadoss mentioned that more movies would be made under this collaboration and if things work out well, he might wield the megaphone for a film.

It looks like the official announcement will be made once the Vijay-Murugadoss duo finalizes the script and other crewmembers.

Shankar sets record with Nanban

The fourth schedule of Nanban has been completed in record time. A major chunk of the film with Vijay, Jiiva, and Srikanth has been completed. This is the fastest Shankar has worked in his career and is receiving a lot of praise for his commitment and passion even after so many years in the field. The unit will be travelling abroad for the song sequences, once Vijay returns after shooting for Velayudham.

Jiiva having shot his scenes for Nanban, will return to the Vandhan Vendran unit, till he is needed again. Ileana has completed almost all her scenes in the film and only the songs remain. The entire Nanban team is right on schedule for the planned Diwali release.
